Raleighcountycourthousewv

BECKLEY -- A woman is suing her former employer over allegedly terminating her wrongfully.

Della Campbell filed a complaint June 5 in Raleigh Circuit Court against FMRS Health Systems Inc.

Campbell was a social worker for the defendants. In March 2015, she filed a grievance against one of her supervisors, who had recently demanded that Campbell "open the files of three patients who no longer required ongoing treatment or supervision," the lawsuit states.

On March 18, she was terminated at 55 years old and replaced "by a substantially younger individual," the lawsuit states.

The plaintiff, citing wrongful discharge and age discrimination, seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages; pre- and post-judgment interest; attorneys' fees; and court costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Stephen B. Farmer and Matthew H. Nelson of Farmer, Cline and Campbell in Morgantown.

Raleigh Circuit Court case number 15C539B.
