Logan company sues welding business, alleging unpaid credit balance

LOGAN -- A Michigan-based company is suing a welding business, alleging full payment from a credit account balance is still unpaid.

Harbor Group Inc. of Muskegon, Mich., with an office in Prichard, filed a lawsuit Aug. 5 in Logan Circuit Court against Mollett Welding and Mine Services Inc. of Logan, and Maurice M. Mollett, of Stollings, alleging breach of contract and personal guaranty.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 15, 2007, Mollett, as president of the defendant business, submitted an application for credit from the plaintiff. Harbor Group delivered all the goods ordered by Mollett Welding and Mine Services but the defendant did not pay its balance due, the suit says.

Harbor Groups seeks the amount due, $32,151,34, plus interest of 18 percent per annum from Nov. 30, 2014, plus attorney fees thus far totaling $5,672.70. It is

represented by attorney John Keating of Amato, Keating and Lessa in Bethlehem.
