ROMNEY -- A Romney man is suing a construction company after allegedly being rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a man working for the company.
Daniel C. Ginevan, of Romney, filed a lawsuit Aug. 11 in Hampshire Circuit Court against American Infrastructure Inc., R.G. Griffith Inc. and Donald Charlton, of Chantilly, Va., alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 15, 2013, Ginevan was driving east on U.S. Route 50 about a half-mile from Trojan Way in Romney, when a truck driven by Charlton, owned by the other defendants, rear-ended Ginevan, causing him to sustain injuries such as cervical radiculitis, cervical spondylosis, neuralgia and neck pain, pain and suffering, disability and medical expenses.
The suit alleges the defendants were negligent for failing to operate safely on the roadway or hiring someone who failed to drive safely on company time.
Ginevan seeks unspecified damages, plus lost wages, court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney V. Alan Riley of Romney.
