LOGAN – A West Virginia woman is suing Wal-Mart alleging negligence led to her fell inside the premises of its Logan store.

Tammy Crum filed suit against Wal-Mart Stores East LP in the Logan Circuit Court on May 29, citing negligence.

Crum claims that she fell as a result of a foreign substance the defendant allegedly allowed to accumulate on the floor of the store on June 18, 2013. As a result of the fall she sustained physical pain and suffering, the complaint states.

The defendant is accused of negligently allowing the substance to remain on the floor, failure to warn patrons of the hazardous condition, and failure to take action to remedy the problem.

Counsel for the plaintiff is Steven S. Wolfe of Wolfe Law Office PLLC of Logan. This case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Susan Perry.
