LOGAN – A Logan County man is suing his former employer claiming the company terminated him after being injured on the job.
Nathan Vance filed a lawsuit Sept. 16 in Logan Circuit Court against Greenbrier Minerals LLC and Brady Fouch, claiming the company and its management unfairly terminated his employment. Fouch is a supervisor at Greenbrier.
Vance alleges that in July he was injured on the job while working at the Powellton Mine and required two months of doctor's care and hospitalization. The complaint states that Vance returned to work in August and was terminated on Sept. 4.
Vance seeks judgment of lost wages, back pay, front pay, as well as all remedies afforded under the West Virginia Human Rights Act, and the Worker's Compensation Act, attorney's fees, and any further relief the court sees fit. Vance is represented by Steven S. Wolfe of Wolfe Law Office PLLC in Logan. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge William Douglas Witten.
