Ky. company says shipping company owes for goods

LOGAN – A Kentucky supply company is suing a West Virginia freight shipping company over an unpaid balance for sold goods.

Whayne Supply Co. filed a lawsuit in Logan Circuit Court against Marcum & Associates.

The suit alleges Marcum & Associates owes Whayne Supply Co. a sum of approximately $6,000 for goods, plus finance charges at a rate of 1.5 percent per month (18 percent per annum), for a total of $7,271.11.

The plaintiff seeks a judgment in said amount, plus interest at a rate of 7 percent from the date of judgment until paid in full, as well as costs of the suit.

Whayne Supply Co. is represented by attorney Jerred P. Roth of Burton Neil & Associates in Mineral Wells. The case was assigned to Circuit Judge Roger L. Perry.
