LOGAN – A trucking company being sued over its alleged failure to pay more than $100,000 for work completed.
Chafin Clear Cutting Inc. filed a lawsuit on Dec. 3 in Logan Circuit Court against Stollings Trucking Co. Inc., citing breach of contract.
Chafin claims that in 2008 they entered into a work agreement with Stollings where Chafin would perform tasks assigned and Stollings would make proper payments. The company claims that somewhere between September 2012 and December 2012 Stollings stopped making payments owed. Chafin alleges it is now owed $136,130 from Rollings.
Chafin is seeing the sum in full, plus court costs, attorneys' fees, and any other relief the court sees fit. Judge William Douglas Witten is heading this case. Chafin is represented by Elizabeth G. Kravitz of Kravitz Law PLLC in Charleston.
