Man blames Gooddeal Properties for icy lot that allegedly caused him to fall

Icylot

BECKLEY – A resident of Fayette County claims he suffered severe injuries when he fell on an icy surface on the premises of Gooddeal Properties.

Keith Hudson filed a claim on Dec. 24 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Gooddeal Properties LLC, citing the defendant’s alleged breach of duty as the cause of permanent personal injury.

According to his complaint, Hudson was at the Lester post office, the property owned by the defendant, on Jan. 10, 2014, when he slipped and fell on an icy, snowy surface. He was visiting the location as a contract worker. The plaintiff maintains that Gooddeal had an obligation to keep the property safe and invulnerable to visitors. As a result of the defendant’s allegedly negligent actions, Hudson claims to have sustained physical damages.

Hudson is seeking compensation for all justifiable damages. He is represented by Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt and Salvatore PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Robert A. Burnside Jr.
