Panhandle Cleaning goes to court to collect on money it's alleged owed

Debts

WHEELING – A West Virginia restoration company has yet to be fully paid for its services and is seeking help from the court.

Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration Inc. filed a lawsuit on Jan. 14 in the Ohio Circuit Court against Ye Olde Alpha Inc. and Grexicon LLC due to alleged nonpayment.

The plaintiff and defendant allegedly entered into one or more contracts for ongoing remediation services at the defendants' business premises at 50 Carmel Road in Wheeling. Panhandle alleges that it furnished equipment, materials and labor, and performed remediation services in a satisfactory manner from 2013 to the summer of 2015 when the plaintiff claims it discontinued such services due to the nonpayment of various invoices. Despite repeated demands, the plaintiff says that the defendant has yet to pay the remaining balance of $90,328.

Alleging a breach of contract, Panhandle Cleaning is suing for the $90,328 along with interests, costs of lawsuit, and other relief deemed appropriate by the court. It is represented by Gerald E. Lofstead III and Ronald M. Musser of Spilman Thomas & Battle PLLC in Wheeling.
