PRINCETON — A resident of Mercer County is suing the owners/operators of an apartment complex for damages he allegedly incurred when he fell on ice.
Jason Lloyd Robbins filed suit on Jan. 29 in Mercer Circuit Court against Princeton Village Inc, Princeton Village Apartments Inc, and Princeton Associates Limited Partnership over alleged negligence.
The plaintiff attests that on Jan. 29, 2014, he was walking from a parking place to a private residence when he slipped on an untreated walkway, which resulted in bodily harm. Robbins claims that the walkway and steps on the premises had not been cleared properly of snow or treated for ice. He alleges that the defendants should have known about the conditions of premises and yet neglected and failed in their duty of care to the plaintiff. As a result, the plaintiff claims that he suffered injuries to his neck, lower back, right knee and leg, and incurred medical expenses.
He is suing for all damages, including compensatory and punitive. He is seeking a jury trial and is represented by James J. Palmer III of Bluefield, West Virginia.
