NEW CUMBERLAND — A man from Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, is suing the City of Weirton for injuries he allegedly sustained at community center.

Charles Kuhn filed a lawsuit on Feb. 12 in Hancock Circuit Court against the City of Weirton and the City of Weirton Board of Parks and Commission, claiming he suffered permanent injuries due to their negligence.

Kuhn claims that on February 19, 2014, the Millsop Community Center had an accumulation of snow and ice outside. Kuhn claims that while visiting the center, which is owned and maintained by the defendants, he fell and suffered severe and permanent injuries, and incurred $54,891.52 in medical bills. Kuhn alleges that had the property been properly kept this injury would not have occurred.

Kuhn is seeking compensation for his losses plus pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and costs. Kuhn is represented by Daniel L. McCune of Sellitti, Nogay and McCune, P.L.L.C of Weirton, West Virginia.
