FAYETTEVILLE -- The son of a deceased woman is suing a national insurance company, alleging the company is refusing to pay life insurance benefits.

John Pyatt, as administrator of the estate of Martha Francis Moles, filed a lawsuit on Feb. 11 in Fayette Circuit Court against Metropolitan Life Insurance Company claiming breech of contract.

According to the suit, Moles maintained a policy with the insurance company and upon her death he submitted a claim for benefits as administrator of her estate. Pyatt claims the company has refused to provide benefits under the policy.

Pyatt is seeking compensatory and statutory damages. He is represented by Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore, pllc.
