CHARLESTON — A West Virginia man is suing a transportation company, alleging failure to timely pay wages and unlawful assignment of wages.
Giles S. Fisher Jr., individually and on behalf of those similarly situated, filed a class action complaint Nov. 3, in the Kanawha Circuit Court against Slay Transportation Co., Inc. alleging violation of the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.
According to the complaint, Fisher has not received all wages that he is owed from the defendant. The plaintiff alleges Slay Transportation engaged in unlawful practice of setting wages without a valid wage assignment and has failed to timely pay all wages due following his termination.
Fisher seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $75,000, including attorney fees, court costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other equitable and appropriate relief.
