BECKLEY — A West Virginia woman is suing a Raleigh County Chevrolet dealer, alleging sexual harassment and wrongful or constructive eviction.

Jennifer Crouse filed a lawsuit Nov. 29 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Crossroads Chevrolet alleging that the former employer violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, Crouse was subjected to discrimination and unwelcome and offensive sexual harassment, including physical touching and sexual solicitation during and outside work hours. The suit says Crouse was constructively discharged in December 2014, causing her to suffer economic and non-economic damages.

The plaintiff alleges Crossroads Chevrolet subjected her to an intimidating, hostile and offensive working environment and constructive termination.

Crouse seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, costs of litigation, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Phillip Estep, Todd S. Bailess and Rodney A. Smith of Bailess Smith PLLC in Charleston.
