BECKLEY — A Raleigh County couple is suing a property management company, alleging liability.

Donald Richmond and Carol Richmond of Beaver, West Virginia, filed a complaint Feb. 9 in Raleigh Circuit Court against TM Associates Management, Inc. alleging failure to maintain the the defendants' property and causing damages to other properties.

According to the complaint, the Richmonds have suffered water damages to their Beaver home due to the defective drainage system of the Robert Village Apartment near their property. The suit says their flooded home resulted in destruction to their personal property and the interior structure of the home itself.

The plaintiffs allege TM Associates failed to maintain the Robert Village Apartments drainage system and violated the plaintiffs' right to enjoy their property free and clear from any nuisance or interference from others.

The Richmonds seek trial by jury, judgment not less than $4,840.35 for damages lost and all other proper relief. They are represented by attorney Paul W. Roop, II of Roop Law Office, LC in Beckley.
