CHARLESTON — A former employee is suing West Virginia Division of Juvenile Services for alleged discrimination, violation of civil rights and wrongful termination.

May Minor filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant terminated her employment after she told the government agency that she was pregnant.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from being terminated. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly discriminating against her by terminating her employment when she reported that she was pregnant.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, lost wages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Maria W. Hughes and Mark Goldner of Hughes & Goldner PLLC in Charleston.
