Driver alleges injures after city of Huntington employee ran red light

HUNTINGTON – An Ohio man alleges he was injured in a collision with a City of Huntington employee.

William Ray Ghiz filed a complaint Aug. 4 in Cabell Circuit Court against the City of Huntington and Jauna E. Plybon alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was driving near the intersection of Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue in Huntington when he was struck by Plybon, who was operating a city of Huntington vehicle and had ran and red light.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Chad Hatcher of Hatcher Law Office in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul T. Farrell.
