Wheeling property owner alleges tenant owes $130,000

WHEELING — A Wheeling property owner is suing a tenant, alleging breach of lease agreement in failure to pay more than $130,000.

De Lage Landen Financial Services Inc. filed a complaint Sept. 29 in Ohio Circuit Court against Klear LLC, alleging failure to fulfill its obligations under the contract.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 28, 2015, Klear executed an agreement to lease De Lage Landen's properties in Wheeling, including the ICS2100 ion chromatograph system with accessories. As of Aug. 28, the suit says, the past due obligations under the ICS lease and the forklift lease remains unpaid. 

The plaintiff alleges Klear LLC has failed to make the required monthly payments for the leased properties and wrongfully retained possession of the leased properties.

De Lage Landen Financial Services seeks trial by jury, judgment for the principal amount of $130,403.73, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by John J. Richardson of Bernstein-Burkley PC in Pittsburgh.
