KFC patron alleges he was injured in parking lot

HUNTINGTON – A Huntington man has filed suit against the franchise owner of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant over allegations a substance in the parking lot caused him to fall.

Kenneth Miller filed a complaint Oct. 5 in Cabell Circuit Court against KSK Management Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 6, he was exiting his car in the defendant's parking lot when he slipped on an unknown substance that caused him to fall. He alleges sustained injuries to his body and mind and was caused to suffer pain and suffering, annoyance inconvenience and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds KSK Management Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect the parking lot to discover and remove the dangerous condition and failed to warn the general public of the existence of any hazards.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that will adequately compensate him for his damages, plus interest, costs, attorney's fees and all other relief that the court may deem just and appropriate. He is represented by Kenneth P. Hicks of Kenneth P. Hicks LC in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Christopher D. Chiles.
