WINFIELD – A Putnam County couple allege that they have been damaged as a result of a loan servicer's actions.

Jeffrey W. Campbell and Robin Campbell filed a complaint Oct. 5 in Putnam Circuit Court against Select Portfolio Servicing Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the defendant "violated both stringent requirements and notice of requirements and legal document requirements under the power of sale." They allege that they have been damaged by these actions and request a quiet title to their Scott Depot property.

The plaintiffs hold Select Portfolio Servicing Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly filed erroneous credit reports at the time of servicing the loan.

The plaintiffs seek damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, plus interest, costs and all other relief to which they are entitled. They are represented by Donald R. Jarrell in Wayne. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Phillip M. Stowers.
