Hardee's customer alleges wet floor caused injuries

Slip02

PRINCETON – A woman alleges she was injured at a Princeton fast food restaurant because of a wet floor.

Sarah Montrosse filed a complaint Oct. 10 in Mercer Circuit Court against Mountain Star LLC, doing business as Hardee's, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 17, 2015, she was an invitee at defendant's Hardees restaurant when she slipped and fell on a wet floor. She alleges she sustained bodily injuries, including to her neck, back, leg, knee and a sprained shoulder.

The plaintiff holds Mountain Star LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn its guests of the hazard posed by the wet floor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount that will fairly and adequately compensate her for her injuries and damages, plus interest and costs of this action. She is represented by Larry O. Ford of Meyer, Ford & Glasser PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Derek C. Swope.
