WINFIELD – A Hurricane man alleges he was injured when an employee of a pipeline company collided with his vehicle.
Chad E. Gray filed a complaint Oct. 10 in Putnam Circuit Court against Michael Anthony Keaton and Ace Pipeline Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 16, 2015, he was operating a 1980 AMC Eagle traveling south on Route 34 in Hurricane when defendant Keaton carelessly operated a 2000 Chevrolet K1500 within the course and scope of his employment with defendant Ace and caused it to collide with his motor vehicle.
The plaintiff alleges he sustained serious and severe injuries to his head, neck, back, limbs and other parts of his body, which rendered him lame and disordered.
The plaintiff holds Keaton and Ace Pipeline Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to have liability insurance coverage at the time of the accident.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of the basic jurisdiction of the court, plus interest and costs. He is represented by R. Matthew Vital of Vital & Vital LLC in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Phillip M. Stowers.
