Couple seeks damages from Shaft Drillers International, employee after collision in Raleigh County

Car accident 14

BECKLEY – A Fayetteville couple is seeking damages from a Pennsylvania company and its Rowlesburg employee after an auto accident in Raleigh County.

Carl Suttle and Jennifer Suttle filed a complaint Oct. 24 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Michael Bay and Shaft Drillers International LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 26, 2015, Carl Suttle was operating a motor vehicle with his wife Jennifer Suttle as a passenger on Robert C. Byrd Drive. The suit states that Bay carelessly operated a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup while in the course and scope of his employment with defendant Shaft Drillers and caused it to crash with the rear of plaintiffs' vehicle.

The plaintiffs allege they sustained serious injuries to various parts of their bodies resulting in medical expenses, lost wages, pain and mental anguish.

The plaintiffs hold Bay and Shaft Drillers International LLC responsible because defendant Bay allegedly recklessly operated the said vehicle at an unsafe speed.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual, compensatory and punitive damages; attorney's fees; costs and interest; and all other relief that the court deems appropriate. They are represented by Charles "Rusty" Webb of The Webb Law Centre PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andrew Dimlich.
