HUNTINGTON – A Huntington man is seeking damages after a collision on Interstate 64 with a tractor-trailer.

Anthony R. King Jr. filed a complaint Nov. 13 in Cabell Circuit Court against John Ernest Speicher and Penrod Trucking LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 13, he was operating a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria traveling east on I-64 in Huntington when defendant Speicher negligently caused the commercial vehicle owned by defendant Penrod to collide with his vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he sustained serious injuries to his head, neck, back, body and limbs.

The plaintiff holds Speicher and Penrod Trucking LLC responsible because Speicher allegedly failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle he was diving and failed to maintain careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, plus interest and costs. He is represented by Jason A. Leasure of Vital & Vital LC in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Gregory L. Howard Jr.
