BECKLEY – Two lawsuits have been filed by WV Metal Wholesalers for a car accident that caused injuries.
Rex Allen Sadler was also named as a defendant in the suits.
On Dec. 21, 2015, Stephanie J. Canterbury was driving her 2001 and Sandra Jessup was a passenger, according to two complaints filed Dec. 20 in Raleigh Circuit Court.
The plaintiffs claim Sadler was operating a 1999 Volvo WG42T truck when he negligently operated the vehicle in such a manner as to cause it to collide with the plaintiffs’ vehicle.
WV Metal owned the truck and negligently entrusted it to Sadler, according to the suit.
The plaintiffs claim they suffered serious and permanent injuries.
Canterbury incurred medical expenses in the amount of $8,190 and Jessup incurred medical expenses in the amount of $12,250, according to the suit.
The plaintiffs claim as a direct and proximate result of the negligence of the defendants, they endured pain, suffering, mental anguish and emotional distress.
As a direct and proximate result of the negligence of the defendants, the plaintiffs have suffered a diminished capacity to enjoy life, according to the suit.
The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory damages. They are being represented by Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt & Salvatore.
