BECKLEY – A Fraziers Bottom resident alleges a rear-end collision caused by a Coca-Cola employee caused him injuries.
Eric Reinstadtler filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against Christopher Myers and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 18, 2016, he was in a motor vehicle and was stopped on state Route 54 when defendant Myers, who was employed by defendant Coca-Cola and driving a tractor-trailer, negligently struck his vehicle from behind and caused it to collide with another vehicle in front of him.
He alleges sustained injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering, annoyance and other economic damages.
The plaintiff holds Myers and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated responsible because defendant Myers allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and expenses and all further relief as the court deems just and appropriate. He is represented by Robert D. Cline Jr., Robert A. Campbell and Letisha R. Bika of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andrew Dimlich.
