Surface and Veneri LLC alleges KR Enterprises failed to pay rent for space in Southview Mall

Late 02

PRINCETON – A company that leases commercial real estate in Bluefield alleges a tenant failed to pay rent.

Surface and Veneri LLC filed a complaint in Mercer Circuit Court against KR Enterprises Inc., doing business as Jackson Hewitt Tax Service KR, and Harry Rhett alleging failure to comply with a lease agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it leased its commercial property located in the Southview Mall to defendants. As of October 2017, the sum amount of $2,600 allegedly remains due and owning.

The plaintiff holds KR Enterprises Inc. and Rhett responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely pay monthly payments when due and negligently vacated the property without winterizing it, which could cause damage to the premises.

The plaintiff seeks $2,600, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and an order granting plaintiff immediate access to the leased property and enjoining defendants from returning to the premises. It is represented by Anthony R. Veneri of Veneri Law Offices in Princeton. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge William J. Sadler.
