Man alleges Stat EMS driver's negligence caused collision

Car accident 03

LOGAN – A Man resident alleges he was injured in a collision with an ambulance on state Route 10 after the driver crossed the center line.

Michael Ward filed a complaint Feb. 9 in Logan Circuit Court against Ryan Todd Hall and Stat EMS LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 28, 2016, he was in a motor vehicle traveling northbound on state Route 10 when defendant Hall, who was driving an ambulance owned by defendant EMS, carelessly crossed the center line and collided with plaintiff's vehicle. The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries to his elbow, shoulder and neck as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Hall and Stat EMS LLC responsible because Hall allegedly failed to keep in his proper lane of travel and failed to maintain a careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, plus interest, costs and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by Robert B. Kuenzel of Kuenzel Law PLLC in Chapmanville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Eric H. O'Briant.
