WHEELING — A Wheeling family is suing a local restaurant, alleging negligence led to the injuries of one of its members.

Michael A. Murray, Teresa A. Murray, Amanda Murray and Adam Murray, a minor, filed a complaint March 20 in Ohio Circuit Court against Mac-Sto Restaurants LLC, alleging the restaurant operator failed to exercise reasonable care for the safety of customers.

According to the complaint, on May 24, 2017, Michael Murray was a customer at the defendant's McDonald's restaurant in Wheeling. The suit says Murray slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the floor.

Murray says he sustained injuries to his head, neck, back. extremities and other parts of his body and incurred medical expenses. The other Murray family members say they have suffered loss of consortium from their father/husband.

The plaintiffs allege Mac-Sto Restaurants failed to inspect its premises to discover the dangerous condition, failed to make it safe and failed to warn invitees of the unsafe condition.

The Murrays seek trial by jury, damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus interest, attorney fees, costs and all further relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Ronald W. Zavolta and Jordan M. Laird of Zavolta Law Office in Wheeling.
