WEST UNION — Three mineral interest owners are suing an oil and gas wells operator, alleging trespassing.

Barbara Jo Hinzman, Clara Jane Hendrickson and Sharon Kay Dean filed a complaint April 4 in Doddridge Circuit Court against Antero Resources Corporation, alleging failure to enter into agreements for the removal of minerals from the plaintiffs' properties.

According to the complaint, the Hinzman, Hendrickson and Dean have not been receiving payments for the removal of oil and gas from their properties since the death of their predecessors. The plaintiffs allege Antero Resources has failed to pay the royalties and signing bonuses to which the plaintiffs are entitled.

Hinzman, Hendrickson and Dean seek trial by jury, an order for an accounting of all oil and gas interest the defendant is controlling over that belonging to the plaintiffs and for defendant to stop production until these issues are resolved, treble damages, court costs, attorney fees and all further relief the court deems proper and just. They are represented by attorney Thomas W. Kupec of Kupec & Associates PLLC in Clarksburg.
