FAYETTEVILLE — A former employee is suing a Fayette County health care group, alleging violation of workers compensation acts.

Tiffany Evans filed a complaint April 5 in Fayette Circuit Court against HCSG East LLC, doing business as Healthcare Services Group Inc., alleging violation of the Wage Payment and Collection Act.

According to the complaint, during Evans' employment with defendant from July 5-Dec. 12, 2017, she was not paid for dates worked and for all overtime hours worked. Evans says says has suffered lost wages and benefits and emotional distress.

The plaintiff alleges Healthcare Services Group terminated her employment for making complaints about not being paid for work performed and for allegedly not covering a laundry shift.

Evans seeks trial by jury and compensatory and punitive damages of less than $75,000. She is represented by attorney Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC in Fayetteville.
