WAYNE — A Wayne County man is suing Ford, alleging breach of implied and express warranties.

Willis Allen filed a complaint April 10 in the Wayne Circuit Court against Ford Motor Company, Ikie R. Light and River City Ford, alleging that they failed to provide a motor vehicle that is safe for its intended use.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 9, 2013, Allen purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion from River City Ford in Wayne for $21,602.50. on April 22, 2017, the suit says, Allen was severely injured in a single vehicle rollover accident when the Fusion's seat belt failed to protect him.

Allen says he sustained aggravation, loss of use of the vehicle, medical expenses and pain and suffering. The plaintiff alleges despite the known defects of the Ford Fusion, the defendants failed to warn or advise Allen of the car's defects.

Allen seeks trial by jury, judgment for medical bills, attorney fees, costs, interest and all further relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney Susan J, Van Zant of Williamson.
