Trinity Homes' owner accused of failing to pay for promised scoreboard sponsorship

WHEELING — A sports marketing company is suing an Ohio County business, alleging breach of agreement.

Scholastic Sports Marketing LLC filed a complaint April 27 in Ohio Circuit Court against Tim Davis, doing business as Trinity Homes LLC, alleging he failed to perform his contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 25, 2016 the defendant agreed to be one of the sponsors of a new scoreboard to be installed at St. Clairsville Red Devil Stadium in St. Clairsville, Ohio, for $4,500 for the first year of a four-year sponsorship. To date, the said amount remains due and owing. The plaintiff holds Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the agreed-upon amount.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks a judgment against the defendant for the sum of $4,500, plus interest and costs. It is represented by James F. Companion of Schrader Companion Duff & Law PLLC in Wheeling.
