Trucker alleges tractor trailer owner, driver caused crash

FAYETTEVILLE — A trucker is suing a tractor trailer owner and driver, alleging negligence led to a crash.

Charles Mooney of Hico filed a complaint May 2 in Fayette Circuit Court against EMS Transport LLC and Gregory Dale Brewer Jr., alleging EMS negligently entrusted it tractor trailer to Brewer, a careless driver.

According to the complaint, on May 14, 2016, Mooney's truck was properly parked at the parking lot of an auto repair shop on Ansted when Brewer negligently caused his tractor trailer to ran off the roadway on U.S. Route 60. The suit says the tractor trailer overturned and hit five parked vehicle, including the plaintiff's truck. 

Mooney says he suffered damages and losses. The plaintiff alleges Brewer negligently operated the tractor trailer and hit parked vehicles in the parking lot.

Mooney seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages, plus costs of action. He is represented by attorney Jamison T. Conrad of Conrad & Conrad PLLC in Fayetteville.
