PRINCETON — A Mercer County man is suing truck drivers and an insurance provider, alleging negligence led to a vehicular crash.
Brandyn Taylor filed a complaint May 3 in Mercer Circuit Court against Roger Boggs, Jonathan Franklin and National Union Fire Insurance Company alleging they were at fault when the collision happened.
According to the complaint, on May 4, 2016, Taylor was a passenger in a 2006 Dodge 1500 pickup truck being driven on Interstate Highway 64 by Franklin, a fellow employee of an advertising company. The suit says Taylor suffered severe and traumatic bodily and brain injuries when the trucks operated by Boggs and Franklin collided.
The plaintiff alleges Boggs operated his vehicle at an unsafe speed and Franklin failed to keep a proper lookout. Taylor says he suffered lost wages, disability and loss of enjoyment of life.
Additionally, Taylor says the vehicle driven by Franklin is covered by an insurance policy from National Union Fire Insurance, which includes coverage for uninsured motorist claims.
Taylor seeks trial by jury and monetary award sufficient to compensate for his injuries and damages. He is represented by attorney Derrick W. Lefler of Princeton.
