HUNTINGTON — A West Virginia woman is suing a property owner and medical service company, citing alleged premises liability.

Tammy Black filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against New Tristate Ventures LLC and Ultimate Health Services Inc, d/b/a Huntington Internal Medicine Group alleging that it created and/or allowed a dangerous premises condition.

According to the complaint, on or about Jan. 15, 2018, Black was supposed to attend a meeting at the HIMG office when she slipped on ice in the parking lot and fell, which caused an injury to her right wrist. She holds New Tristate Ventures LLC and Ultimate Health Services Inc, d/b/a Huntington Internal Medicine Group responsible because it allegedly was responsible for snow and ice removal in the parking lot and failed to exercise proper care to maintain premises in a safe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages in an amount that will compensate her for the damages she sustained. She is represented by James M. Barber of Law Offices of James M. Barber in Charleston.
