HUNTINGTON — A towing contractor is suing Dupre Logistics Inc., a truck transportation and logistics company, citing alleged unpaid services and accruing storage fees.

Braxton Adkins d/b/a JB's Towing filed a complaint against Dupre Logistics Inc. in Cabell Circuit Court, claiming that the company has refused to pay the plaintiff for services performed. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff alleges that on April 1, 2018, Braxton Adkins, doing business as JB's Towing, removed the defendant's trailer from a site where the defendant was involved in an accident. JB's Towing also cleaned the accident scene and has been keeping the trailer at its storage facility since the time of the incident.

The plaintiff holds Dupre Logistics Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly owes the plaintiff an amount of $22,193 for all the mentioned services plus $45 per day storage fee. Braxton Adkins requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount to adequately compensate the plaintiff for damages, plus interest and cost, and any further relief the court finds fair and proper.

The plaintiff is represented by Paul E. Biser of Fredeking & Biser Law Offices in Huntington.
