City Electric alleged to owe $8,000 to Chicago company for goods

CHARLESTON – A Charleston company is alleged to have failed to pay for goods it purchased on credit from a Chicago company.

Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group LLC filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against City Electric Co. alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

The suit states that the plaintiff sold certain goods to the defendant on Aug. 2, 2017, and the defendant has failed to pay for the goods in full. The plaintiff alleges it is still owed $8,000.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John R. Keating of Amato and Keating PC in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The case has been assigned to Judge Jennifer Bailey.
