Couple alleges Pro Services, Quality Construction breached contract with work to repair home damaged in fire

State Court

HUNTINGTON – A Huntington couple is suing two construction companies over allegations they failed to do the work they were contracted to do.

Danny Wright and Elizabeth Wright filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against Rick Shepherd, doing business as Pro Services LLC; and Gayle Gallihue, doing business as Quality Construction LLC alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

The suit states that the plaintiffs own a home in Branchland that was damaged in an accidental electrical fire in September 2018. The plaintiffs allege they entered into a contractual agreement with Shepherd on Oct. 24, 2018, to renovate the interior of their home, and Gallihue was a subcontractor.

The plaintiffs allege defendants, despite representations otherwise, failed to do the work in the time that they agreed to and breached the contract in a number of ways, resulting in damages to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by Donald R. Jarrell in Wayne.

The case has been assigned to Judge Christopher Chiles.
