WHEELING — A man is suing Equity Trust Company alleging he was attacked by a dog and injured.
Charles Dodd and two unknown, unnamed individuals were also named as defendants in the suit.
James Morris was walking on a public sidewalk on Feb. 19 in Wheeling when a dog owned by the defendants exited its residence unleashed and viciously attacked Morris from behind, according to a complaint filed in Ohio Circuit Court.
Morris claims he was bitten, mauled and seriously and permanently injured. He claims the dog attacked, endangered and inflicted serious and permanent injuries on him and in a totally unprovoked menacing fashion.
Morris is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is represented by Ronald W. Zavolta, Paul J. Ratcliffe and Michael P. Zavolta of Zavolta Law in Wheeling.
