For months, everyone has been talking about it, but now I am clearly and loudly saying it: Jim Justice is an embarrassment to our state and should resign and try to attend to his family business obligations.

CHARLESTON – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin and West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey again are having a war of words regarding a state settlement with a drug company.
That settlement, which Morrisey's office says is believed to be the largest state settlement of its kind against a single pharmaceutical distributor, pushes the total paid in West Virginia’s pursuit of 13 pharmaceutical wholesalers to more than $84 million.

CHARLESTON – A bill recently signed into law should be a good lesson in home economics. Senate Bill 285 easily passed both houses of the Legislature this session, and Gov. Jim Justice signed it into law last month. Also known as the Cottage Food Law, it will allow individuals to sell homemade, non-potentially hazardous food items made in private residences.
MORGANTOWN – Woody Thrasher, who Gov Jim Justice forced out as Commerce Secretary last year, is said to be seriously considering running for Governor. Thrasher won’t comment on his possible candidacy, but the smart money is on him getting in the race.
CHARLESTON — Gov. Jim Justice has signed a bill that will move the state's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit to the state Attorney General's office. Senate Bill 318 was signed into law earlier this week. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey praised the move, calling it "a bold step that will significantly strengthen the state’s fight against Medicaid fraud."

CHARLESTON — A West Virginia delegate is making a third attempt to have a court find that Gov. Jim Justice is violating the state Constitution by not living in the seat of the government.
CHARLESTON – The state Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission is now receiving applications for the vacancy on the state Supreme Court. It also is accepting applications for a circuit judge position in the state's 19th Judicial Circuit covering Barbour and Taylor counties. This new position was created by the state Legislature.
CHARLESTON – Allen Loughry has resigned from the West Virginia Supreme Court. Gov. Jim Justice announced Nov. 10 he had received Loughry's resignation letter.
