CHARLESTON -- Forty-nine Jackson Kelly lawyers, representing a cross section of the firm's practice groups and offices, were selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Fifteen of the 49 Jackson Kelly attorneys named this year represent more than ten consecutive years of recognition by Best Lawyers. Many other Jackson Kelly lawyers named this year have appeared on the list previously.

Best Lawyers (www.bestlawyers.com) is a leading national benchmark of legal counsel published by the Woodward and White Corporation. The 2007 edition is based on extensive peer-review survey. Some 16,000 leading attorneys throughout the country cast more than half million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties. Lawyers are not allowed to pay a fee to be listed.

Attorneys chosen by Best Lawyers are assessed according to their respective specialties. Jackson Kelly attorneys are featured in 32 of the 57 separate disciplines with Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, Workers Compensation, Environmental and Corporate Law featuring the most multiple Jackson Kelly citations.
