WHEELING – The son of Murray Energy CEO Bob Murray has been sued for allegedly having sexual contact with his adopted pre-teen daughter. Jonathan Murray is a VP for Murray Energy and Murray American River Towing Inc. Both of those companies also are named as defendants in the lawsuit, which was filed July 22 in Ohio Circuit Court. The complaint was filed by a woman identified as M.S., Jon Murray’s ex-wife and mother of the girl – identified as S.M. – at the heart of the issue.

MORGANTOWN – Members of the Morgantown Fire Department have filed a lawsuit alleging the city hasn’t properly compensated them for working on holidays. The complaint, filed June 7 in Monongalia Circuit Court, lists Lieutenant Jayson Nicewarner as the named plaintiff. He also is president of IAFF Local 313, and the other 57 plaintiffs are Morgantown firefighters and members of the union.
