BECKLEY—A Raleigh County woman filed a lawsuit against a major retailer alleging multiple counts of premises liability in 2013. Ruth Ann Tate filed a complaint against Wal-Mart Stores East LP in Raleigh Circuit Court May 14, claiming negligence in a July 2013 shopping experience. According to the filing, the plaintiff was on the defendant’s premises located at 1330 Eisenhower Drive in Beckley on or about July 7, 2013 when she slipped and fell in a pedestrian walkway.
