Mormon church lawsuit ends in undisclosed settlement
MARTINSBURG – A civil lawsuit alleging Mormon church officials covered up sexual abuse caused by a now ex-communicated member of the church has ended in an undisclosed settlement after a trial lasted more than two months.
Soul food brings WVU Law students together at BLSA luncheon
WVU's Black Law Student Association hosted its 8th Annual Soul Food Luncheon in February, a popular event that is more than just a fundraiser. T’Keyah Nelms, President of the BLSA, told The West Virginia Record, “It is absolutely amazing how a simple plate of delicious food lowers inhibitions, increases comfortability, and encourages fellowship with one another.”
AG's office warns residents of jury duty scam
CHARLESTON — Attorney General Patrick Morrisey warned consumers about a phone scam in which a person receives a call threatening arrest or other punishment for missing jury duty.
