MORGANTOWN - A woman is suing the West Virginia University Board of Governors after she claims they are responsible for her husband's death. On May 19, 2012, Wilbur Dale Severe Jr. was a patient at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown and a CT trauma, chest, abdomen and pelvis with IV contrast was ordered, according to a complaint filed in Monongalia Circuit Court. MARLINTON – A Pocahontas County man claims he was sexually abused by his high school agriculture teacher. Chase McKenzie Fisher filed his lawsuit against the Pocahontas County Board of Education and Samantha Jane Bartley in Pocahontas Circuit Court. Fisher, who now is 20, says “Bartley was a sexual predator with a lustful disposition towards male minor children” who “sexually abused, molested, fondled and assaulted” him during her employment at Pocahontas County High School from April to June
MORGANTOWN – Beth Walker officially has entered the 2016 state Supreme Court race. She announced her candidacy Thursday in Morgantown, saying she hopes to bring fairness and a strong voice for all citizens to the state’s highest court. “My campaign will be based on my conservative vision for the role of Justice of the Supreme Court, which is to be fair and to uphold the rule of law, without legislating from the bench," Walker said in a statement.
