CHARLESTON – A federal judge has two motions in a lawsuit filed by Westfield Insurance Company against Dr. Steven Matulis and those who filed claims against him for alleged sexual assault.
CHARLESTON – Expedition Trust Company is suing Charleston Area Medical Center after it claims a 2-year-old suffered a brain injury when going under general anesthesia to have a routine dental surgery.
CHARLESTON – The Kanawha County Commission has agreed to more than $8,000 for a special prosecutor involving Dr. Steven Matulis and the alleged sexual assault cases.
FAYETTEVILLE – A man is suing Charleston Area Medical Center after he claims it is responsible for his wife’s death. Dr. Karen Hultman was also named as a defendant in the suit.
CHARLESTON – A lawsuit challenging the amount of the per-page cost a law firm paid to copy a client’s medical records will be dismissed after the Supreme Court of Appeals ruled on May 24 that the client, named as the plaintiff in the lawsuit, was not actually the party who paid for the copies.
CHARLESTON — A son and daughter are suing Kanawha County medical care providers, alleging the defendants' negligence led to the death of the plaintiffs' father.
