    CHARLESTON – The City of Charleston is suing Ohio Valley Spray Foam after it claims its roofing systems are defective. In 2006, Charleston issued a request for proposals regarding the purchase of a polyurethane foam-applied roofing system for the city’s North Charleston Recreation Center and an adjacent building, according to a complaint filed Oct. 9 in Kanawha Circuit Court and removed to federal court on Nov. 23.     COLUMBUS, Ohio – A seven-member federal jury awarded $1.6 million to an Ohio woman who developed kidney cancer and claimed it was after drinking water contaminated with C8. The jury found Oct. 7 that Carla Marie Bartlett's kidney cancer was contracted after being exposed to C8 discharged by DuPont's Washington Works facility in Parkersburg into the Ohio River and her drinking water.
