MOUNDSVILLE — A Belmont County, Ohio, woman is suing the owner of a taxi service and one of its drivers in a dispute involving an auto collision.

Woman blames Hobby Lobby for injuries from fall

HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing Hobby Lobby after she claims she was injured when she fell in the store’s parking lot. Schottenstein Property Group Inc. and Schottenstein Property Group LLC were also named as defendants in the suit. On Jan. 16, 2014, Saundra Kay Morrison was exiting Hobby Lobby in order to return to her vehicle after making purchases, according to a complaint filed Jan. 8 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Woman sues Huntington physician for professional negligence

HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing a Huntington physician for professional negligence after she was injured during surgery. On Dec. 31, 2013, Lora Dotson presented to Dr. Brian Bower for a robotic assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, according to a complaint filed Jan. 14 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Man accuses HealthSouth of negligence

HUNTINGTON – A man is suing HealthSouth Corporation after he was injured on its premises. On Nov. 20, 2014, Bill Short was a visitor at the HealthSouth Huntington Center and was walking out of the door of the facility to retrieve clothing for his wife when fell, according to a complaint filed in Cabell Circuit Court.

CHARLESTON – A Glasgow couple is suing the United States after they claim it is responsible for an injury caused by the U.S. Jodie L. Elswick and Larry A. CHARLESTON – The administrator of the claim plan for the 2014 spill that left 300,000 people without water for days has filed a lawsuit against the company that manufactures the leaked chemical. CHARLESTON – A lawsuit has been filed against State Sen. Tamejiro “Tom” Takubo Jr. by a woman who claims he was responsible for her husband’s death. Charleston Area Medical Center and Dr. Steven D. Forums allow a chance to interact with Business Court

CHARLESTON — The National Business Institute (NBI) has partnered with a law firm to moderate judicial forums in Charleston and Morgantown this spring. The upcoming seminars, set for May and April, will revolve around the West Virginia Business Court and judiciary takes on litigation, and will be managed by two Bowles Rice partners.
