LOGAN – A Logan County woman wants the state to do something about the effects of abandoned mines on her property. Sue Ann Richardson filed a complaint against the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Office of Abandoned Mine Lands and Reclamation and Acting Director Harold Ward. Jarron Gore filed a complaint against Beckley Dermatology d/b/a Dermatology Associates and Surgery Center in Logan Circuit Court June 18, asserting negligence in August 2013 when he sought treatment. According to the filing, Gore presented to the defendant to have a spot or lesion removed from his hand on Aug. 19, 2013.
